Materials engineering undergrad, with some detours on my way to ML: insurance, mining, an MBA, eventually the West Coast. Years in fintech — mainly lending — across strategy, unit economics, and data science. Now shipping end-to-end ML pipelines for credit decisioning in Mexico.

This site is a DIY notebook for learning in public: applied ML, causal inference, agentic engineering, and what I'm learning along the way. Partly to find like-minded people, but mostly as a forcing function to distill new concepts and internalize them.

Canadian living in LA with my wife, our daughter, and labradoodle. Most weekends spent on the ocean, in the garage, or at a chessboard.
